Kjk is making a documentary with womens opinions and women's issues, specifically trans and the harm the ideology is doing to women and children. She was in LA a couple of days ago on the start of her USA tour, I guess San Francisco is next, she will also visit portland, Washington, NYC I think seattle as well, miami but I think other cities too, it will be on her eventbrite site or known heretic will have dates and places. A lady called AIMEE Ichichagwa (sorry Aimee bout spelling) gave a powerful speech in LA and got an incarcerated woman to tell her story too. Others were just as good. Kjk is a powerhouse and UK needs her back in good health please America
This is in Oakland, where I also just learned part of the city has water worse than Jackson, but no one is talking about it. Our infrastructure is CRUMBLING. I believe mold is a factor. Strangely most of my symptoms are not respiratory, but instead are gastrointestinal which creates knock-on neuropsychiatric symptoms like anxiety, attention difficulty, insomnia, and depression, as well as joint pain. I kept chalking it up to being tired from work but then I go to the UK and had a ludicrous amount of energy and stamina with my sleep normalizing.
That’s really good news. Was the water not obviously a problem until you could see it in the bathtub? How did I miss that you are a therapist? So am I. ❤️
There was at least one other time in the last several months where it came out brown, but the landlord said "oh they were just fixing it and it needs to rinse out." But like also the water boiler is what supplies the heat to the building and there's been no heat in my unit since like, February or March. Usually the water has still been clear but I've been having these worsening symptoms over the past 3 months especially, and yesterday it was like gasoline colored. The landlord attempted to extort me into paying for invoices for plumbing issues in other units, claiming I'd ruined the building plumbing, so I imagine there's just a lot of leaks and a lot of who knows what in the walls as well. Whenever I'm in my apartment I would just get this headache and have a hard time staying focused. One night it got so bad I thought there must be a CO leak! I plan to leave a note under the door of the other units on my way out warning them.
Oh neat! Yes I strongly suspect, based on their attempt to get me to pay for plumbing issues in other units and accusing me of causing damage to the whole building pipes that there's a lot of mold and they know it. They literally sent me an invoice that said "removal of clog caused by baby wipes" for a different apartment and tried to convince me my dishwasher transubstantiated it.
That’s ridiculous! Have you asked neighbors if they’ve experienced health problems?
My high school was full of mold. Administration denied it, even though the building leaked every time it rained. Trash cans attached to ceilings to catch water in the main office and guidance office, hallways flooded (custodian took a push broom and pushed the water out the doors), Ceiling tiles in classrooms with mold that admin claimed was pudding (we had a Pudding Bandit who threw pudding cups at the top of the stairwell ceiling but never in classrooms).
I’m highly allergic to mold and was sick until I graduated.
Is the contamination widespread in your area or localized to your building? Are your neighbors ill also? The Health Dept needs to know. They will test. Blow the whistle--it's your specialty! I wish you a speedy recovery and a financial settlement, at least for relocation costs.
I believe it's just in my building as I am fine at my office and also at the hotel that's nearby. I bought a water PPM tester and confirmed the water in the unit is gross compared to the city water elsewhere. I do plan to blow the whistle and will be calling the health department and have sent some messages to attorneys. It won't be hard to demonstrate their neglect. When a window blew off my apartment earlier this year in a freak windstorm that affected 30,000 people, they did not replace it for FIVE MONTHS. I had plastic on a huge hole in the wall like I was in a war zone.
I moved area and my probs started, I was about 40, and had hysterectomy at 28, so may have been start of menopause, but I've never bothered to have tests. 16 yrs on, and I still have very low tolerance of chemicals, across many products, including food, detergents, meds, new anything is risky.
Could be the pipes are galvanized steel instead of copper. My apartment used to have discolored water until the management replaced the piping to copper. Glad you found the source of your ailment. Best of luck finding a new abode. Kitties abide.
The thing is that the water has been discolored at times before and they told me it was due to specific repairs being done and it seemed to go back to normal. I feel like if the pipes were doing it the color would be consistent. I think they're just old and corroded and getting contaminated from an unknown source. The building heat is connected to the water boiler and also has not worked in months. They also tried to claim my countertop dishwasher had caused "hot cold water reversal" magically damaging the whole building. For all I know it's got sewage in it with mold and mildew in the walls. I may not have much new content over the next couple weeks.
Exulansic, I know it’s easier said than done but GET OUT! It’s always the water! My family and I lived in a large building in the West Village (NYC) right after 9/11 and I along with 6 other women and 1 child ( who’s home the most?) became very sick. My legs blew up and I couldn’t walk for months. Water was leaking, black mold and a weird whitish gel was forming on our art. When it rained outside, it rained inside! Many hospitals and doctors later- no one could tell me what was going on. The building owners instructed all the maintenance people ( door men, janitors...) to say nothing 🤐but I found out that we were all presenting different odd symptoms. We had to move and I got better! GOOD LUCK ❤️
I would love to know also. KJK in SF???? How did I almost miss this???

They are fierce warriors for women and children
How do I find known heretic? I tried looking up the event online--couldn't find anything.

Perhaps a change of environment, at least for a while, would be a good idea.
Like a different state.
Thanks. That's my plan actually. I'll be on the east coast asap through the holidays with family.
I have Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. Thanks for writing about this misunderstood condition.

What kind of therapist are you? I am an SLP.
oh that’s right! I did know that. I’m a mental health therapist. A profession in big trouble 🥲.
So happy you have narrowed down the culprit! All the best with the move
Is it that water or is there mold? If you lived on the east coast I’d be a human mold detector for you. I’ve done it for a few friends.
Glad you and your cats are out of there! Take care of yourself.

Also, another thought, have building tested for Legionaires disease?
Get well soon.
I also seem to have an issue with histamine ever since I entered menopause.

Thanks for keeping us updated on this. Is it mould?
Sending you lots of love- be well and be safe!
AND... get the fuckers!!!
