I love your account of these conference highlights. You and Laura were my favorite fashionistas. I was horrified to hear that an attendee dissed her outfit. It was not a local as we were all discussing how rude that was to treat a guest presenter like that.

I also use clothes to overcome my particular fear of interacting. I must play a role; I have so many to play. I particularly liked your first outfit so came over to say 'hi', but then was too shy to tell you how I liked that it looked like handkerchiefs and I loved the head dress. It was a great touch, so ethereal and saint like. I missed the geta. Chinese also wear them and in Bangkok we call them ghia ghia for the same reason.

I was on the bridge when the mob jumped the gate, but I was gone before they arrived. My spidee sense said get-out. I called out to the other women that we were not supposed to engage with the protestors so the two women, not involved in filming and engaging, came away with me. We were inside safe by time mob scaled the gate.

Thank you for the details of the Hammer Boy, basement-check guy and in particular the panties on the face. Ewww to that.

I'm so glad to know the SF police supported and protected women in this context.

Glad to hear you're feeling better. I just got the most recent booster, flu, and pneumonia vaccines last Monday. It's been a year now and I still can't smell after having it a second time.

Great debrief part 1!

Yes, the food was fabulous and the hotel staff and security were attentive and gracious. It was good to meet you, being one of those women walking up and saying "hi" on the first awkward night.

I met many wonderful wimmin that weekend, including Amanda Kovattana and several others I exchanged contact info with. I attended your, Laura Becker's, and K. Yang's breakout talks, and the plenaries were also excellent.

The TRAs were pretty predictable, except for maybe Floss Dancing Man. I never really got why Tall Blue Haired Evening Gown Man hovered in the hotel entry way for so long apparently waiting waiting, perched on the City Hall steps like a gargoyle, or hung out in the hotel bar with some of his other cronies for two nights.

I didn't participate in the non-violent direct action, but I did take photos from the outside, including Joey Brite being screamed at by a woman with a red megaphone that "real lesbians love trans women."

I'm glad you have the 'vids worked out.

I look forward to DeBrief II.

"Millions of Dead Terfs" is a reference to the hardcore punk band and transtifa favorite, Millions of Dead Cops. That's where, "No Trump, No KKK, No Fascist USA" chant comes from. There are obviously deritives, like the one screamed at you. Even though it's a reference to a stupid band, it's still very upsetting and worrying.

I loved the write up and also your recent post about the art exhibition and how it relates to your friend's passing. You are so right, we may not win this fight in our lifetime but must each do our part for the next generation of women (i am breastfeeding my tiny daughter as I type) Wish you all the best, if you think being an influencer helps to keep the show on the road, l support you all the way.

I absolutely love your outfit - especially the scarf. The colors, the patterns of the fabric, loved it all. I wish America was the old America where people protested, debated, and maybe even yelled at each other but didn't commit vandalism or severely beating up people. i love protesting peacefully wearing a sign, handing out flyers, debating with people - I wish the high schools and colleges would teach people how to engage in critical thinking, debate and peaceful protest. I thought it was ironic for the hotel to tell any group who pays for a private gathering, that you will not be able to have a future event if someone else acts violent - I miss the old America where individuals are responsible for their own actions - someone does things that are bad or criminal and everyone - especially the people who did not do anything wrong, get punished - honestly, that is communism. I would love to have real democracy back. I love the first amendment. I agree with you - it is very ironic for trans women who are extremists (not all trans women - I really like Blaire White) who try to silence you and your friends with bull horns and criminal activities - I think that if someone has to act like a thug - he or she or they don't really have an opposing point of view to win a debate or change someone's mind. I really enjoy how intelligent your writing is - I look forward to reading your future articles or watching your videos.
