Here’s the take away... we don’t know but we have a program available to try and “fix” what we destroy. 🤦

"...children as young as three..." Really? I bounce between fury and despair when I hear this insanity. What are they doing to the children? Why do they hate children so much? I can't see this as being loving and caring in any way.

i am dumb and i have no background in this: but isn’t their tired “umbrella” metaphor an example of a nested hierarchy? isn’t whatever is under the umbrella “nested” in whatever category they’re saying the umbrella is? hopefully someone knowledgable sees this.

No because the point of the umbrella term is that the words on the umbrella have no stable defined relationship to the words beneath the umbrella. So it's a pseudohierarchy that you can't independently derive. Hence why they can't answer questions like, what is a women? It is because woman is an umbrella term for anyone who feels like a woman.

so instead of clearly defining the terms, and then deriving the categories that they belong to in a natural way that makes sense to everybody, trans philosophers assign names to the categories (the umbrellas) and leave the elements that supposedly comprise them nebulous and undefined?

I enjoy your content but I couldn’t watch this video. Your likening this whole movement to church and faith in Jesus is cringy and also offensive.

I understand that Christians don’t have a good reputation, but that’s because many people profess to be Christian, but they aren’t according to the Bible which defines what a true Christian is. I too as a girl from the South used to be very anti-Christian until I became a true Jesus follower and saw that the Bible is against much of what is represented as Christian in the mainstream media.

I do think that you and your content could be much more popular if you changed your angle and the way deliver your message. If you truly want to do the most good and have the heart of your message consumed by the largest number of people you could possibly reach, I think rebranding and changing how you say things would be immensely helpful to helping you cast a larger net.

Ideally, you don’t have to listen to me but wanted to give honest feedback as a person who considered supporting. Right now, I can’t give to some one who’s basically using my belief system (wrongly) as a parallel for this nonsense. Anyways, I wish you the best, and hope you consider the heart of my point which I think could help you go much further than where you currently are.

Can you pretend I'm only likening them to the Christian churches you and I agree are bad? I have made many videos arguing from the Lutheran perspective which I pursued until I lost my faith, which you may prefer. I take on this perspective when arguing against the people transing Jesus. But you can't ignore the fact that Skoptsy, the Russian church that cut off breasts and genitals, were in fact Christians following the Bible.

I think I'm just gonna stick with my generic Protestant faith. At least with the cross I can say "truly it is a mystery" and not try to rationalize (and medicalize!) things that are fundamentally irrational.
