Gender is not sex. I was never aware of having a gender until this ideology emerged, when I realised I must have had one all along. So I am a transgender woman because I identify as someone who has a gender, as opposed to someone who hasn't. And I've been living this identity for some time. I shall be applying for a GRC when the Scottish government implements the act. And I hope other women will also consider this course of action.
