I was just looking for an article on the psychology of book burners but instead came across the above one from 2017 about white supremacists and their victim mentality, which could just as easily be describing TRAs.

Thank you for documenting and compiling their violence, Exulansic.

I‘m shocked everytime I see that aggression. It must be either fanned constantly in their community or they act out what gets suppressed by themselves or both. I find it very shocking! They attack single people just standing there😱

Scanting their abusive often sexualized paroles. They look madder every time I see them shouting and attacking.

Tomatoe juice symbolizing blood... How overdramatic they can become...How has anyone of us killed them??? Don‘t get it. ( yes I know what they mean, it‘s just ridiculous, they‘re just looking for drama and a reason to attack physically. Like they need that aggression to exist. Horrifying! )

The Eli guy with the tomato juice has made a video explaining how he tricked the women, justifying what he did and asking for money. He says he was knocked to the floor, beaten, spat on and stepped on. No mate, you slipped over on the crap you and your mates had spread on the floor and if anyone was spitting, or stepping on you, that would be your lot.

Thanks for this timely reminder. I am thinking about whether to go to Hyde Park Speakers corner today , calculating the risks. I feel I need to be there to support the other women going. But they did get surrounded last week. But if I don’t go, then they have won.

By the way, Exulansic, check out the Laughing Auditor on Twitter and you tube. He came across a TRA protest of a lesbian meeting and their reaction led to him getting peaked, real time. A very entertaining and telling piece of filming.

The more of you go the harder you are to surround. You could also have a strategy like you're playing go and be in a line or something that makes it difficult to surround you. Organized near some area where people are going in and out so that people unrelated to the event have a right of egress. Lots of solutions.

So, I went to Hyde Park and has an absolutely GLORIOUS day! The organisers had met with the police and we had a much bigger police presence. We had changed the date and time. And no trans activists were there. About 200-300 of us turned up. We were able to speak unimpeded. It was wonderful. I feel like the tide is turning. We will not give up.

I've seen photographs and videos, it looked terrific. I'll get down there for one at some point. I think the anti-women activists had seen that women had met with London police who had promised more protection, so I think it was a deliberate tactic to stay away. They will be back.

Glasgow was great as the police made a huge no go area between the groups and policed it well apart from a couple of incidents.

I am thankful that Exulansic uses her wit , voice , knowledge and intelligence to form a resilient argument against the illogical , wherever it appears.

Oh yes! The Laughing Auditor’s footage is interesting because he’s a free speech advocate who just happened upon the scene and had no idea what was going on but began recording because it seemed worth reporting on. The TRAs immediately tried to verbally threaten him and rip his recording device away. When the women came out he talked with a couple of them, and he was pretty much peaked on the spot and then shared his experience on his YT channel to his not-insubstantial number of followers. Or at least, that’s my impression of it...honestly these days everything is just a blur of madness and I don’t have Ex’s abilities to analyze, catalog, and rationally interpret the chaos that’s unfolding.

I find it extraordinary that the police will not just normally police obvious crimes here - I don't know about the US but in the UK a person screaming fuck you inches from your face is potentially committing at least two crimes, and given they're an obvious psycho it would de-escalate the entire situation if the police just arrested that nutjob. The London Met have a history of over-policing women as well, while they ignore clear TRA violence, probably because women aren't dangerous like a mob of TRAs.

It's horrifying to witness the escalating violence. I was at Let Women Speak Brighton but that seems quite tame compared to what has happened over the last few weeks and months. Really this doesn’t shock me at all. I was an undergrad at a large Midwest university in the late 80s and early 90s and saw this type of behavior back then aimed at anti-abortion speakers. Didn’t see anyone actually assaulted but the mindset was the same: block them by any means necessary because lives are at stake. And they succeeded in silencing speakers and shutting down events. I disagreed with the conservatives on many issues and my own views on abortion were nuanced, but I wanted to hear their perspective. So much for open marketplace of ideas. Conservatives were also out counter-protesting against the anti-war activists and they were annoying but at least there was a line they wouldn’t cross.

I recommend anyone planning on attending a femalist protest have a large group, big male allies, and armor.

So far I have gathered used motorcross safety gear. Very light, and protective. Roost guard for chest and back and shoulders, arm covers, shin guards. Also a skate helmet. Don't get motorcycle helmet because they block your hearing and periferal vision. Also avoid face guards like catcher masks or football helmets. It gives attakers control of your head.

Other options for armor are hockey or baseball catcher gear, but those are heavier.

I'm also going to create a light weight round shield from by rivoting 3-4 large aluminum pizza pans together and adding a gate handle on the back.

Open carry of a sword is legal where I live, so I'm going to find fencing a class. I'm reflecting on the scripture, "Those who live by the sword die by the sword." I'm not sure if I'll carry one.

I also recommend learning martial arts, especially Judo, or Brazilian Jujitsu. Krav Maga if you can find it. Many police departments and dojos offer free or low cost basic self defense courses for women.

EDIT: A reply recommended body cams. Excellent idea.

In the US my fear would be that the TRAs would have guns and any act of self-defense on our part might cause them to open fire, or alternatively if the do-nothing police see us using any kind of weapon to defend ourselves they might gun us down with impunity (or imprison us with men who will rape and assault us). That said, the Seattle footage of the mob of witch hunters and playground bullies was so disturbing because he *was* fleeing and they kept closing in on him all the more. This made me think in such a situation it might be useful to keep two weapons on me: pepper spray if totally surrounded so I could make a run for it, and a small punch knife to use if and only if any individual tried to physically assault me. Even so, the US “justice” system might prosecute such self-defense as if it were pre motivated assault. The body cam footage is crucial.

I really hope Ex’s compilation gets circulated and witnessed by so many people that it becomes increasingly impossible to defend the TRA violence. Remember, this is just two weeks’ worth!!! Add the #LetWomenSpeak events in Tacoma, NYC and others...it’s scary to think what a 2023 compilation might look like if it keeps on like this.

Body cam is an excellent idea. I was once pushed into oncologist traffic and had a lit cigarette thrown at my face by a violent counter protestor about a different issue. But that was over 20 years ago. Civilian bodycams weren't common. I'm sure they're much more affordable now.

Allison's avatar

Yep, I was thinking about body cams (gopros have mounts/straps for this purpose). Also was thinking about padded motorcycle gear for protection...but also spiked accessories like bracelets or collars (or studs on leather jackets). If someone bumps into your spikes...that's not your fault! [shrug]. also...how about a small lighter? Whoops, I don't know how the sign or umbrella you were using to block me suddenly went up in flames...(obviously, that's riskier).

Oh and also maybe carry a cheese fork...?

As narcissists live on the oxygen of self publicity and victimhood perhaps they think treating them as regular boring people is akin to murdering them. 🤦‍♀️ Those people need to get a life.

Assume you've already seen this one from last week where the guy taking the video gets peaked in real time as he's surrounded by the thug mob. They had gathered to protest that a group of lesbians were meeting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMpy8VDBJXQ

And you’re right about narcissism. So hard to deal with a single narcissist in everyday life---I don’t know how on earth we’re supposed to handle a movement that brings them together into a would-be violent mob like this. Run away, regroup, bring more women together in solidarity and protect each other, and keep speaking out I guess.

It was someone with a DSD. I can't remember who it was, but several people made angry videos about it at the time. Chromosomes aren't the sole criteria to determine sex, but I'm no doctor or expert so I defer to Exulansic, although I generally avoid debate about specific DSDs. My statement that adult male humans are men includes adult male humans who look like females due to the DSD CAIS. Turned out the man in question, Dalea Rundblad, was lying about having CAIS (and wrote a book about not having CAIS, not even exaggerating lmao) much like Eli is clearly lying about having PAIS/Chiimerism/Ovotesticular disorder trifecta. Linehan disagreed and his position is some adult male humans are women if they look or feel like women, and further that I'm bad for saying otherwise and not acknowledging their obvious womanhood.

joolzzt's avatar

The only people who are women are those who are literally women. It excludes men no matter how pretty they are and includes women no matter how butch they are. The definitions are clear. Adult human female or adult human male.

Everyone is one or the other and no mammal can change sex. If a scientist showed a human who had changed sex then they would already be clutching a Nobel prize for science for disproving a million years of mammalian evolution.

Yeah seeing the baseball bats wrapped in barbed wire being placed on display at a library was something of a turning point for me too, when it happened. I had been watching lesbians in LGB forums sounding the alarm since 2014 and saw their discussion threads being blocked and deleted until they finally abandoned the site(s): it was alarming. The gay community mostly brushed it off as lesbian drama that wasn’t relevant to them. Misogyny skyrocketed as women’s voices were silenced. But I still assumed that people were complacent mostly because they didn’t take the violent rhetoric seriously. Then the baseball bats in barbed wire appeared and I was stunned and appalled that people couldn’t see, or saw but didn’t give a damn, that the intended target of those heinous weapons is nonviolent WOMEN. Germaine Greer was right.

What happened in Auckland was incited by weak politicians, mysoginistic bigoted hate speaking msm who lied and gaslight nz sane people, cowardly police and taliban dan from Melbourne Australia who also lied and is unfit for the office he holds, if kellie had been knocked to the ground, and the maddened mob were trying to trip security and her up, she would have been killed. Trans Zealand is a pariah state.

Billboard Chris is very brave man, the police were aggressive, dismissive, rude and sneery, did not do their job which would have been to call an ambulance to deal with his injury, look at the footage and arrest the perps after taking staments from both sides. That's the job they are paid to-do, every single one of those officer were unfit to be in that job.

LWS had the tactics used against them used in nz, a pariah state, the noise is actually unlawful but the waste of space met police london already condemned in a report as institutionalised mysoginistic, racists and homophobic, did nothing and in actual fact a number of them walked away. This led to what is known in UK as Ketteling, a police tactic to surround the LWS women and scream abuse at the so thei voices go unheard, the ljvestream worked perfectly tho so f the transterrorists.
