Some form of gender identity us being taught in Illinois schools in "health" classes! My daughter told me this stuff was being incorporated into teaching about genetics...speaking of pseudo- science. What evidence is there that there's a gene linked to trans? Oh, none. I am not sure the extent to which this has been taught or what the teacher has comprised their lessons on yet, but I do know that Illinois is reigned by the family of one such crusader of the gender fairies and we seem to have found ourselves in nomansland...literally. I've maintained, from 2018 on, that this is motivated by surgical greed. There's a lot of money to be made manufacturing drugs for these types of fantasies. What a sad day it is to witness humanity abandoning all reason to supply a few people with endless wealth and leave our commons a ruined, frustrated, drug addled lower class begging like Oliver Twist for some more soup.
I recommend you follow Sammy Stagg on twitter, if you don't already. He writes excellent pieces about the neuroscience of gender and shares a lot of publications. I don't always understand the science papers, but he is good at explaining them.

This neurologist studies sex differences in the brain and his twitter account criticizes a recent paper asserting that trans children show brain differences similar to those of the opposite sex. It seems the differences is that the trans children are attracted to the same biological sex--i.e., they are homosexual.
