the frontal lobe is involved in problem solving and planning so how does the doctor come to the conclusion that having less neural pathway interactions leads to more problem solving and less talking? i honestly don't understand if I'm missing something (besides the doctors biases)
I agree with you, he probably wasn't aware that he was suggesting anything untoward. Neither was I! I'm reminded of my brief foray into PTA volunteering at my son's nice L.A. public school in the 90s. Placement of trash cans in the school yard was on the mtg agenda. All the parent volunteers were women and most of the teachers. The discussion about ideal trashcan locations went on and on and on for over TWO hours! And wasn't completed; the issue was tabled. My son and I were new to the school, and I'd never been at a public meeting like this, i.e., w/out any order! After the meeting I asked the secretary why Robert's Rules of Order weren't followed, and she didn't know what I was talking about. At the next meeting I suggested we adopt RRofO (it's almost impossible to have order in mtgs without them), and it was turned down, because limiting limitless comments would be "unfair." Maybe the meeting would have turned out the same had there been more men, but it seems to me women more often have difficulty focusing on the important issues and allow ourselves to wallow in all kinds of unrelated and illogical sentimentalism. Case in point being "gender" ideology of which women are the greatest promoters, enablers and supporters.
John Money was a woman? That’s news to me. One PTA anecdote does not an argument make. Even if gender ideology were an overwhelmingly female creation—it’s not—it would probably be the only one in history. Communism of every shade, including Marxism, is illogical and sentimental. While there have been a handful of female activists, its authors are male.
I fucking love this post! There is nothing I love more than logical women using their rationality to dispel the cognitive distortions that underpin sexism.
Although, unlike you, I interpret Naudé’s post as an intentional insult and an active attempt to oppress women, not an accident.
Yea it is hard to disagree with you. Despite making great efforts to not call him a misogynist, he's on Twitter playing the victim of being so cruelly called a misogynist.
Men like this hate us. “Women can’t solve problems?” There’s no need to try to appease men like this bc they don’t want to be appeased. They just want to express hatred (defined as “intense dislike or ill will”). 🤷♀️ If women being nice and chill was all it took for men to treat us with respect, we wouldn’t have just had 20,000 years of patriarchy. NOTHING some women do or say will ever be acceptable to some men. It’s their burden to deal with their psychological distress over our enormous sexual/reproductive and therefore social power over them, which they can only compete with by actively controlling us. Think about how intellectually frail you’d have to be to only be on top socially bc you made laws so that the opposite sex can’t go to schools or earn and keep money or speak in public, which you have to enforce with threats of physical violence. Brawn ain’t brains, and they know it. That’s why they post dumb shit about how having a dendritically sparse prefrontal cortex and a big aggro amygdala is totally superior. Men like this insult us bc they feel pathetic.
There are actually two human species, Homo sapiens gyno, Homo sapiens andro, which are in a mutually beneficial symbiotic relationship. The primary species is gyno, and andro has a mutated 23rd chromosome pair, with one called the ‘Y’ chromosome.
Periodically, andro uses his spermipositor to inject gametes into the reproductive system of gyno. 50% of andro gametes have the mutated 23-chromosome ‘Y’. When the gametes fuse, if a ‘Y’ chromosome is present it hijacks normal gyno fetal development, and prevents embryogenesis of the normal gyno genital tubercle, as well as other reproductive organs, muscles, nerves and bones, creating the andro semi-parasitic species.
The result of the imperfect embryogenesis has substantial and striking effects on brain development, including:
1) Inability to use full brain capacity for complex reasoning/problem-solving, due to limited development of the corpus callosum connecting hemispheres, as well as inability to recruit frontal and prefrontal lobes
2) Lowered verbal response functions, impaired verbal memory and articulation
3) Reduced mirror neuron function, social cognition and emotional reconition
4) Impaired executive function
5) Impaired fine motor function, manifesting as poor dexterity
6) Episodic memory and contextual recall
Likewise, the resulting andro organism has reduced average lifespan, and is more subject to specific degenerative diseases than the gyno form.
Notes on multi-parent reproductive models:
There are many natural reproductive models which require mutlti-species interaction, not all mutualistic.
The liver fluke, a parasite of sheep, his hermaphroditic therefore provides both gametes in sexual reproduction, but requires successively hosting the developing resultant organism in a snail, then in an ant where the developing fluke larvae eventually invade the brain causing the ant to climb grass and then be eaten by the final host where they develop adult form.
Fig wasps use figs as a reproductive organ, where female wasps deposit eggs. In turn, this action fertilizes the fig, which grows to maturity. The embryonic wasps emerge, the male mating with female, and the cycle resumes.
For Cuckoos, the animal hijacks the brood structure of host birds, laying eggs which hatch early, kill or kick out other eggs, thus gaining full nutritional support of the host.
For humans of course, in response to hosting the foreign andro form periodically, the gyno form is able to complete her reproductive lifecycle.
It has been hypothesized that in the past, human parthenogenesis of the gyno form was the normal state of reproduction, but a mutation of one of the 23rd chromosome pair introduced the andro form, and the semi-parasitic mutual symbiosis evolved over several million years.
“Ugh, I can’t talk to you and Mom about depression or my feelings. You always want to solve problems and fix things. Not every conversation has to come with practical advice. Dad just listens.”
— My brother
I guess my mother and I are transmen. Can’t argue with science.
Our desire and capacity to solve problems go unnoticed and demeaned because society has traditionally ignored and demeaned our problems and our labor—in both senses of the word.
“Men prefer to solve problems, not talk about them.” Clever as he is, Dr. Naudé has either never spent an hour caring for a small child alone or thought about its implications.
Delivering a baby in breach position, preserving baby or mother when one doesn’t survive, troubleshooting when an infant won’t nurse or a mother can’t feed her, keeping children alive when food is scarce, navigating the threat of men inside and outside the family, negotiating tensions and disagreements within the group, easing the aches and pains of your husband’s old mother, turning animals killed during the hunt into everything from thread to shelter with minimal waste, inventing the goddamn needle so we could settle cold climates, making tools like needles and hide scrapers again and again and sourcing the required materials even through trade, developing weaving and the loom and transforming a family-sized operation into an industry, cultivating and through breeding transforming the plants and animals required to survive and even flourish…
Do men like this even think women have problems to solve? And would our species even be here if women couldn’t solve problems?
one reason i thought i was a trans man is bc “women don’t communicate to solve problems, they just talk for talking’s sake.” it all ties together.
