Trans Day of Remembrance. Typically a day where many people focus on the deaths of persons thought to be trans. Though these deaths may not have occurred directly because of their trans identity at all. Remembering this woman on TDR would turn the narrative differently.
Heartbreaking and needless death of a young person who obviously questioned things and could have been so useful to society if she had been protected long enough to mature.
She lived her life for others by being open about her experience. Her reasons for doing so were not exactly pure, but this case may help prevent further deaths and disabilities. It ended up shining a light on the medicalization of her mental illness, dysphoria. She was betrayed by these people who may have had “informed consent” that was not explained at all. I believed, about ten years ago, surgeons were creating functional body parts, rather than cosmetic alterations, which it turns out are nothing close to functional or cosmetic. None of the medical care is reversible.
This vulnerable, naive young person was exploited and experimented on. The AMA and the AAP needs to be dealt with first, for promoting this mutilation of a minor seeking change.
I hope that this case will open the eyes of parents and families of “trans kids” and let them say NO to the child. Although the parents have no power in some states. If more “trans” people knew the results of surgery, perhaps they would think twice before getting their hopes up.
In some ways it was fortunate that she recorded everything so we could see the trajectory downward in her health. Do you get a sense that the doctors were surprised or saw this as an outlier situation? There is a stark horror in her moving through this machine built on medical billing.
How many young women stop recording when the dream of looking like a YouTube star, with stubble and pecs, explodes in a mess of catheters and scar tissue?
In this situation, there is no pleasure in being right. Please look after yourself and remember that you did everything you could with the resources you had. Your work is valuable.
I’ve been a dedicated follower of your journey since the early days on YouTube and have continued to support you as you've moved across different platforms. Throughout this time, I’ve closely followed Griffin’s story alongside you. Your recent poem, though somber and melancholic, resonated deeply and seemed fitting given the circumstances. It’s heartbreaking to realize how much Griffin was let down by those around him. In one of his final posts, he appeared visibly unwell, and it was clear that his health was deteriorating rapidly. Now, I’m left wondering: Will Griffin be remembered as a martyr, or will his story be trivialized and dismissed as an unfortunate anomaly to we Terf's use to feed our narrative?
This poem gave me chills!
That is so sad.
Dark eulogy. Reminds me of Sylvia Plath's poetry. Thank you for sharing.
Yes, definitely got Plath vibes!
Brutally beautiful words.
So, so sad.
Thank you for sharing.
indeed, this young woman should be remembered on TDR. and the doctor known. he presumably won't be sued for her death.
What does TDR stand for?

There is no Femicide Day of Remembrance.

Searing. I wrote a comment on Andrew Gold's channel about them, thanks for the info.
So powerful and heartbreaking.
This is so sad, She gave her life for others, hopefully it will not have been in vain. We must learn from this.
She was slowly tortured, she was ignored, and then she died.
How do you figure she gave her life for others?

People will say that 'terfs' don't care. The reason we do this is because we DO care. Sad, but very touching poem :(
I believe these butchers are Luciferians.
It takes a sick and twisted mind to do these things.
They probably film the surgeries and sell copies as satanic torture c0rn.
Ironically, her suicide was furthered by every incision.
