There is no reason to assume that she is less intelligent than any other girl her age. As you say, she may not have any mental impairment, just a physical one. You say she is a student, so she has some mental capacity.
Having said that, I'm horrified that ANY girl is allowed to go through that procedure, whether or not she has a disability.
Presumably it went viral because people are, wrongly, assuming she is mentally subnormal. That's a form of ablism.
This is not about her disability, it is about child mutilation. It is horrific because of what they did to her, not because of her physical disability.
All true, although physical disabilities do add an extra layer of complexity to the situation.
This is someone who clearly needs daily assistance due to her physical limitations. It doesn't seem like a good idea for her to undergo unnecessary surgeries which could lead to complications, or to be put on hormones when her health is probably more fragile than a non-CP patient.
So glad to hear your take on this video. You have more knowledge when it comes to the medical impairments of someone like this. It is unfair to assume this girl is mentally impaired. I think my outrage comes from the fact she already has so much to deal with health wise. Why would you have unnecessary surgery on a body already so stressed. Doctors should have not done this to her, period!!
And now she’s getting lots of attention. Would she have done this if no one was watching? If she had not had access to social media? Also, if she didn’t have access to taxpayer or group health insurance? I hope this taxpayer-funded business becomes discouraged over the next four years.
I had a friend at college with Cerebral Palsy. She was able to get a Bachelors degree.
My suspicion is that while she’s been encouraged by her peers and the gender cultists to adopt her trans identity and medicalize her body, the medical community and her parents likely have some ulterior motivations for putting this young disabled woman on a path that will almost certainly result in sterilization. Women who are physically disabled like her are a prime target for sexual assault, and although transing her probably wouldn’t prevent an opportunistic rapist, it would prevent her from being impregnated. Her caregivers, and possibly Micah herself, may all believe that, as with Ashley the pillow angel, her life will be easier and more comfortable if she stops menarche via hormone suppression and later a hysterectomy. The short “male” haircut is also inevitably easier to maintain when you have motor impairments, and as we know, you can’t just be a woman with short hair these days: if you want short hair it’s because you’re a man.
Trans is a convenient cover for eugenics, but as Exulansic has documented extensively, these experimental pharmacological and surgical “treatments” have cascading downstream effects that all but guarantee disastrous complications: chronic pain, increased risk of cancer, increased risk of organ failure, mood disturbances and new mental health problems, and foreshortened lives. Depending on how the synthetic testosterone affects her voice, it could ultimately make it even more difficult for her to speak, right?
If it’s true that this young woman’s transition began shortly after her recent stroke, that seems like an obvious breach of medical ethics that should be investigated and potentially prosecuted by the State. How could a recent stroke patient possibly be said to be of sound mind? How could they be deemed competent to give informed consent to cross sex hormones or surgical amputation of healthy body parts, even under the so-lax-as-to-be-nonexistent standards of “informed consent” that the trans industry operates under?
The same people who were so vocally opposed to the Ashley Treatment not so long ago now appear to be roundly celebrating all things trans, despite trans “treatments” being objectively worse in terms of harms and disabilities inflicted on healthy bodies with virtually no benefits.
Fucking perfect. Based on all the known garbage about informed consent for this, what are the chances that they were notified repeated surgeries increase risk so medically unnecessary surgeries should always be avoided.
Sadly, I report that the special education school I worked in for 13 years, PS 372 in Brooklyn, has now embraced this cult. Children with special needs who are cognitively delayed seek attention and love. This inclusion program involves a student population of 1/3 children with Individual Education Plans, together with 2/3 typical students in each class/grade. When a student with special needs observes peers, teachers and parents getting glory and attention for adopting an opposite sex (or alternative) persona, all of their learning, behavioral, social and academic will be at risk.
Micah may well not have any cognitive impairment, but she obviously has the same cognitive distortions as every other person who goes down the "trans" path. My feeling is that "transition" may well be the only thing that gives her a sense of control over a body she otherwise has very little control of. She can't attend to her own activities of daily living without considerable assistance; being bathed by someone else would be bad enough, but magine having a carer change your tampons; so she does what she can to reject the uncooperative body she's literally trapped in.
This is BY FAR THE MOST FUCKED UP THING I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. My GODDDDD

Agreed. She's competent to make her own health-care decisions, even though we might vehemently disagree with her choices.

Seeing the viral video of her brought that “Ashley Treatment” aka “pillow angel” controversy to my mind. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/the-pillow-angel-case-th/

She had a stroke??? Great, general anesthesia for unnecessary surgeries and testosterone are totally great for stroke prevention.
Yes, she specifically had a stroke as a complication of a surgery.

I love Rupert's cameo! His motor was humming along nicely.
He is the sugar that helps the medicine go down
One other video I liked was when Exulansic gently danced sweet JK Growling side to side That was so cute!
I'm sad for her. The clip she filmed makes it look like these things are being done to people who really don't know better..
