Hi Ex. I also grew more than an inch in height between the ages of 22 and 23. It was after no change in height from 13 to 22. It hurt my legs and I didn't like it, but I like being a bit taller lol

When I saw the Carmen Miranda like fleur de dander I couldn’t open the post fast enough. This is the first time I’ve heard anyone speak about the risks of binding. I cannot believe what I’m hearing. Is it overstating it to say this? Binding does to the ribs and neck what it did to the feet of the poor women in China for hundreds of years before they put an end to the brutal, cruel practice. Not a word have I heard about the damage to skin from years of compression. I can’t believe how much alike they are. How much their thinking is aligned. Like out of a play book.+++The cabbage roses make me swoon. I’ve never imagined watching someone who looked like they were a painting. A talking painting. It’s very cool.

Every once in a while I experience a fresh wave of indignation at the women, especially the liberal feminists, who have stood by and applauded this cheerful parade of horrors. It's woman-hating on its face, just as ghoulish and female-flesh-mortifying as any pro-ana or cutter community. After a brief window of societal discouragement, girls and young women have a found a culturally approved way to mutilate themselves again. All in the name of bodily autonomy and the apparition of the "true self." Their self-exile from womanhood should be met with gentle rejection and offers of sisterhood, but instead it's exalted, and with every girl who feels a little ugly, who's uncomfortable in ruffles, who dislikes the attention her breasts draw and assigns the blame to her femaleness rather then society's expectations, the femininity trap closes tighter and tighter around the women left behind. And I suspect it wouldn't be happening--no one would be smiling, hugging, flag waving over crushed skin, aching spines, soft bones, and women who literally *can't breathe*, if it wasn't tied to the idea that some men are very special men, with special feelings that make them very special women, and it's very important that they get exactly what they want.

It's anti-feminist backlash rebounding through a hall of mirrors, and once you see the ugly reality at the center, it makes you want to smash the whole thing.

You said it, and so well! Thank you. My posts are long, but rarely as well written.

I can’t help but see the practice of binding being recommended by doctors…which will lead to pain and complications…which will then be a selling point for the surgeons to charge them (or their insurance) for “top surgery.” Same as doctors prescribing wrong-sex hormones to trans-identifying females that damage their reproductive anatomy…then in comes the surgeon recommending genital surgery and womb removal. $$$$

I'm really glad I was too lazy for binding and too financially irresponsible to buy a binder just to try. I assumed that if everyone in my life knows that I'm a woman and have big boobs, then binding won't make any difference.

Before you praise me that wow I'm so smart: no, my trans identity was nurtured secretly in similar way that mtf do, I worked hard to prepare my life for transition and then medically modify my body before full social transition and then come out when I pass. I'm glad I didn't medicalize.

I wonder, did Gallagher really want to be an actual butcher but settled for cosmetic surgeon? What an evil person, so is the other doctor featured. They must utterly despise other people, especially children.
