It's so sad. Jazz and Jojo never stood a chance. I look at little Jojo's eyes, he's so sweet. Typical of boys - they have a particular sweetness. He was groomed, and now does what, Only Fans?
Also, I can't get enough of your and Laura's collaboration, Nobody Twerks Without Watching Porn. I want the album! (Can't wait to see the cover art, in 12" glory. Wait, that doesn't sound right...)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cUM8zGncEh4. Here's another one Laura made that I did not contribute to. She's working on one for ASTF that I expect to be completely and irretrievably sent by.
I need to understand the disconnect with these people. They proclaim “love yourself just as you are!” And then literally turn their children over to sadistic surgeons and shady endocrinologists to be changed.
The logic just breaks down in such a big way and no one ever engages with that fact.
To see the little boy who would eventually enter the world of online prostitution to fund his mutilation is heart wrenching. I never knew there were early episodes with a baby Jojo, these parents are so abusive.
"she was four". so PEAK fantasy as reality period. Santa, Toothfairy, etc .. you can tell 4 yr old ANYTHING & they'll believe it.
"we don't want her to..." so what did you do to dissect child's reasoning? how did you teach your 4 yr old about natural born bodies, chromosomes, reproduction, being a tiny tiny minority of humanity & it's repercussions ?
i remember when the gay marriage debate was still going on, and the pro-gay propagandists would cite the suicide rate among gays and lesbians as a reason why our legal rights needed to be broadened. unfortunately, i think TRAs have co-opted this tactic, and i’ve come to regret that any suicide statistics were ever used to further a political agenda.
As someone in a same-sex relationship I was always pro-gay marriage by default, but I didn't pay attention to the content of the debates or campaign messages across the West.
After reading many comments like yours and listening to takes on this issue on the Disaffected podcast (highly recommend btw), I now want to look back and explore the tactics used by "our side" as well as the counter-arguments. I'm starting to get the sense that some of the tactics were in bad faith and paved the way for the aggressive, manipulative transactivism we see today.
In retrospect I would have even been fine with prioritising rights over terminology. What's wrong with a civil partnership category that extends all the same rights as a marriage? The issue if I recall is that in most countries where civil partnerships existed, they stopped short of granting particular rights (for example, you had spousal and fiancé visas for immigration purposes, but not civil partner visas).
If we had considered an expansion of existing rights rather than a redefinition of marriage, would the tone of the debate and the arguments used have been less extreme? Would the trans agenda have gathered so much momentum post-2015?
For understandable reasons there is resistance in the West to the idea of "separate but equal" and therefore it wasn't acceptable to merely consider giving same-sex relationships the same legal status under a different name. But it's an interesting thought experiment to ask why not.
Treating everyone and everything the same can have consequences and is what led to the idea that transwomen are just a subcategory of women. It's what has led to the idea that all public spaces and sports competition can become mixed sex. We are now seeing an expansion of things like surrogacy because everyone apparently has the right to be a parent, and who cares how a child is conceived or under what circumstances they are raised (when decades of child development research shown otherwise). There are now organisations led by gay men which lobby for their childlessness to be redefined as "infertility" so that surrogacy arrangements can be covered by health insurance...
I don't want to digress but suffice to say that the vast majority of LGB people (myself included) have not entered into marriages. Turns out, an institution that was considered so vital to our wellbeing is something the majority of us pass up or outright reject. This is something that warrants more exploration, I'd say, but there's obviously no incentive to dig up any information which might point to the gay-marriage activists having distorted a whole lot of stats to make their arguments.
thank you for this reply. i’m gay-married myself, but i’m pretty sure my life would be the same if it were called a “civil partnership”. unfortunately i don’t think any of us foresaw the trans rights movement of the 2020s.
JoJo showed up much later, I think. When Jazz as a teen is in his pool with his friends, one does a sexy shoulder shimmer that confounds Jazz. I believe this kid had straightened bleached long hair and talked about making money “modeling”, maybe he needed the money for more surgery.
Yes, that sounds exactly like what a toddler in an existential crisis would say/think. Definitely not the projection of an adult who couldn’t cope with a young son who liked Barbies.
How can you say this woman is sexually abusing her son? It’s obvious that they are enmeshed and don’t have good boundaries. But calling her a sex abuser is just not accurate, and hurts more people than it helps.
He doesn't have sex organs anymore because of her. She forced penetration with an object onto him while denying him sleep. I cannot think a definition of sexual abuse that would not encompass these behaviors. Can you?
Generally the definition of sexual abuse is when someone performs sexual acts on someone against their will, for their own pleasure.
-Jeanette wasn’t performing a sexual act on Jazz, she was violating his boundaries by performing an invasive medical procedure on him without his consent
-She obviously wasn’t doing it for a sexual thrill. She’s a deeply, deeply flawed parent but she’s obviously not a pervert
Jazz is HER identity, not Jarron's *Jazz's "dead name".. Jeanette created Jazz for her own sick pleasure, she absolutely gets LIFE from it. She loves that her son will never grow up, she loves that Jazz will be stuck with Jeanette now for the rest of her life. And I fear Jeanette may well outlive Jazz now.
Im not talking about that. I already agree she and her husband’s parenting is terrible. I said that she clearly isn’t sexually abusing Jarron/Jazz and that it’s irresponsible to say that she is. It’s also unnecessary, bc she’s doing plenty of other things that can be criticized without making up allegations.
No. Doing those things for one’s sexual pleasure would be sexual abuse. Doing those things bc a mother believes it’s a way to look after and care for her son’s health is insane, but not sexual abuse. Do not falsely accuse people of child sex abuse because you dislike the face that they transitioned their child. It’s harmful to all involved. People like Jeannette think they’re helping their kids.
Skip ahead to Season 5 FOR SURE, but then maybe go back to revisit Season 2.. You could basically do this show for years and still not be done, so I'd definitely be all for doing whatever YOU want to do :)

Finally!! Closure
Homophobic parents dont want a gay son, news at 11
Great video! Pooor jojo. He is such a cute little boy

That’s fine to skip ahead to season 5. Otherwise it would take too long to get through all the seasons. Good idea!

Love how mom verbally agrees to let her kid continue swimming while literally turning her back on said kid.

Ah yes, and from memory Jo Jo has an eating disorder by that time as well. And Jo Jo also has 'sugar daddies' as well at that point :/
“Why can’t you see me for what I am?”

Jeanette ABSOLUTELY gets a thrill from it...

What Ex said is 100% true... inserting an object into someone is absolutely sexual abuse..
And she had her son's PENIS removed... that's also sexual abuse..
No. Doing those things for one’s sexual pleasure would be sexual abuse. Doing those things bc a mother believes it’s a way to look after and care for her son’s health is insane, but not sexual abuse. I hate Jeanette
It’s so strange to me how most TIMs get into sex work.
