This story feels like a ticking time bomb. Also, I'm struck by the one twin's facial expressions. He does not look happy.

It's actually really heartbreaking to watch this intact little BOY running around the field, little knowing the horror he is to endure in a few years time, why the Hell could anyone not step in? He could have had a relationship by now, independence from his ghoul of a Mother, a job, his own apartment, but no, he's a lonely depressed boy living at home in the shadow of his Munchie family, he'll never fly the nest, just posts photos of his dress up games. All his friends seem to be abused people too. He'll never know love, attraction, and he has NO CLUE what an orgasm is, how can one ever explain that experience to an immature 20 something with the mind of a 11 year old?? I'm 54, post menopause, but I can still experience what Jazz never will, and the fact he discussed that with his Grandmother just illustrates how he really doesn't know anything.

Cutting up kids is a fine biblical era tradition. Archaeologists found foundation sacrifices in ancient buildings with the skeletons of young girls sawn in half buried there.

You know, not that I'm for human sacrifice or anything, but at least they died at the end of the torture. Jazz is just going to be kept alive at all costs with the mutilation. Three surgeries at least, maybe a fourth coming up. Just on and on.

I’m wondering how Mermaid Jazz would play soccer? It’s not fair that soccer should have to be played on land!

Was this entire series the brain child of Dr. Mark/Marci Bowers? Also, have you seen the X posts of Dr. Amaya (Robert Edwards) Deakins, in which he states there's a 30% detransition rate? I found the defamatory posts he put up (and left up) about his ex-wife. He's a clinical psychologist (what else?) and it appears he took the kids and goes to court demanding child support from his wife. It was so creepy to see those older "transgender" patients on the panel. Solid brainwashing, at home, in public, in university classes. Of course, no detransitioners in sight anywhere.

I can’t speak to his role in the Jazz series’ creation, but I seem to remember Bowers appearing in a documentary on transgender people I watched as a child in the early 2000s.

For the right price, the human to mermaid surgery is just as safe, realistic, and legitimate as any "male to female" procedure. Anyone who disagrees is a landlubber and a bigot.

It is heartbreaking to look back on a physically healthy Jazz/Jaron with his whole life—and all its possibilities—ahead of him.

In ten years, he will find even standing and walking both painful and precarious. He will be mutilated and permanently wounded, bereft of the chance for children, hopelessly confused about his own romantic interests and prospects, more vulnerable than ever to manipulation by both family and strangers, surrounded by siblings who derive pleasure from tormenting him, blamed for a likely brain injury that his family treats variously as an eating disorder and a personality defect, struggling to breathe and sit up, and trapped in a web of brainwashing and ideology. I still hope he will get free, even if the scars remain.

Yes, I pray for the day he realises, packs a bag and gets the hell away from that awful family, starts his own proper business making clothes, printing t shirts etc, meets someone who may want a relationship with him, travels the World and lives the best life he can,,

I do feel for Jazz’ sadness about not playing with the soccer team, because Jazz really appeared miserable about missing out. But his parents, and TLC, had put him in that difficult situation.

But the pubertal/post-pubertal physical advantages that males have are real and significant. Because Jazz was small, and primarily because puberty had not happened, Jazz could probably have played with the girls team for another year without injuring one of the other players. But would that have really turned out to be any easier for Jazz?

Sadly, Jazz never did experience puberty, which (in a better setting) could have resolved their gender dysphoria. In fact, pre-activist research revealed that there was an 80% chance for a natural resolution of Jazz’ dysphoria if he had experienced a natural male puberty. Jazz could have pursued medical or surgical gender transition as an ADULT, with an adult mind with which to make those decisions. Of course, Jazz would have a less “feminine” appearance with delayed medical/surgical gender transition, but would have developed orgasmic ability, and would have had a 4 out of 5 chance of escaping the dysphoria and the desire/need to transition.
