Genevieve Gluck Responds, Naming Reporting Campaign Organizer as Alan Driscoll, @Terfipedia on X
This is in response to my article, Patreon Bans Reduxx
Gluck writes:
“I did not "admit to having shipped out some of these items in this manner", because I never shipped any of the merch. I said if they were illegal they would not have cleared customs. Anna ordered the keychains online (or did you think we manufactured them in a basement?), and received a box of two hundred that had been opened and inspected by customs officials. They were only sent to donors in the US and Canada, and they are available to order through Amazon. Given that they are sold in the US and Patreon is a US-based company, it's clear that nothing illegal was taking place. The mass reporting campaign was kicked off by Alan Driscoll, aka "TERFipedia".”
Of course I regret any confusion created by the syntax of the sentence. To be clear, the intended meaning of the sentence was that Gluck admitted that Reduxx Magazine had shipped some of these items out. Gluck has now clarified that Anna Slatz was the one to receive shipment of 200 American fists into Canada and then ship them out to recipients in Canada and the United States.
I'm still kinda lost. So are they trying to cover up a mistake or minimize how big the mistake was or lie that a mistake even happened? Those Keychain would be legal in some places and banned in others...unless they're sending them out while inciting violence with them and then that's a whole other can of worms
If they were illegal they would not have cleared customs.
Lmao on RSO
