The theory that a person can have a gender identity that conflicts with their biological sex is demonstrably rooted in medical discourse surrounding disorders of sexual development (DSD). This is where the idea that a person can have a gender identity of woman, despite being adult, male, and human, actually originated. It is pretense that these are unrelated issues. There's no way to have an adult male human be a woman, while also giving women the right to female-only spaces.
There's no logical way to require females to be male-inclusive in a single-sex facility, team, or other circumstance, while females have a right to be in an exclusively female facility. You can’t square the circle. It will not work to “be kind” by making these exceptions, regardless of why the male feels entitled to be included. All you can do to solve the problem is either separate males from females on the basis of sex, or remove women's rights to female-only anything. And so women have to say no to this accommodation. It is unreasonable.
We can't include them in a box.
We can't include them with a fox.
We can't include them, Sam I am.
We can't include him. He's a man!
GC activists are routinely commanded to not conflate trans ideology with DSD policy, and to just say DSDs aren't relevant because they're separate issues. We self-police, at this point, like it's in our own interests not to advocate for single-sex sports and spaces. That is an excellent strategy if the goal is to avoid the wrath of toxic activists, but that is a policy of appeasement, not liberation, and it will not protect the rights of female people. The sex-based rights of female people are under attack.
DSD accommodations and policy demands are the thin end of the wedge that cut down the tree of all those Olympian women's dreams, humiliating them on the international stage. They worked so hard for a shot at Olympic gold. They now have to live with the fact that they lost, not because they didn't train enough, not because another woman was better at the sport, but because their female body was predictably inadequate against a male. Learning that biological reality, because they could not defend yourself from male violence in an unfair fight… it changes a woman. I can only imagine the trauma those Olympians who were denied fair play will now carry into their future relationships. How many girls and women decided that maybe athletics aren't for them, after seeing a man beat a woman into submission?
There's no such thing as a male woman. We either unite around the truth that a woman is an adult human female, or we accept the supremacy of the adult male humans who identify as women. We either defend or betray our daughters - the female children of woman. Do you want “adult human female” to be a named and relevant political class, or are we merely backdrop for the male women to live out their womanly dreams and fantasies? Women make everyone. Women are the keepers of the culture. We deserve a name that is exclusively ours. We demand equal opportunities and funding based on that identity and name.
"Awww can't I be a little bit woman? Please? All I need is one thumb, I only want to win a women's thumb-wrestling championship"

Apparently Hilton (developmental biologist/researcher) believes that Khelif most likely has 5ARD & not Swyer Syndrome because puberty for the latter requires hormone treatment, while the former has male puberty without any exogenous hormones. (Not sure if the post is still up, but she has other posts discussing DSDs more generally.)
