The TRA’s are all about the supremacy of gender identity - until a man wants to hit a woman for our entertainment at the olympics. Now the TRA’s are all about being ‘born female’. I’m having fun with the uno reverso on X with them :-)

Remember this in November’s elections, I am voting Republican.

Bad idea. Look up the plan for a Republican presidency, Project 2025. A better way to approach this issue is to elect SANE people (Harris/Walz) in spite of this issue, and then FIGHT them on it! It's better than a dictator who wants to punish women who have abortions and shred the U.S. Constitution.

No harris stood by and watched as Biden destroyed women's rights and she wholeheartedly supported him and her first visit on becoming tbe candidate was to deluded trans to assure them it would continue under ger "leadership" and that old nan us worse than her. The dens ars disgusting. The republicans are the opposite side of the same argument but at least trump will restore womens and childrens rights, nit to gave their bodies destroyed in tbe gender abattoir. No dems for me

Please reconsider. Sorry Ex for the political content, but this scares me so much. The Republicans hate us just as much. Nationwide abortion ban, and Vance calling us ‘cat ladies’, that postmenopausal women’s whole purpose is to help with grandchildren, and saying that parents should get more voting rights. Nation wide abortion ban. Read project 2025. They see us as brood mares. Believe me the second the democrats win we need to protest hard against gender ideology, and I’m as TERFY as they come, but this election needs to go blue. If autogynephiles and woke people cause Trump to get in, well that’s pretty much the world fucked because of climate change policies. No hyperbole. Please, please don’t go Republican over this issue. Thanks for reading. Sorry again, but this is so important.

You want to put people who support this ideology back into power hoping they will get it right this time? That sounds a lot like these post op people going back to the same surgeon who already botched their surgery.

They won't listen to your protests. Trump is not going to hurt this country. He was already president for 4 years and didn't hurt the country. He'll leave abortion up to the states. The far right doesn't hate you or even care what you do as long as you're over 18.

You're right, it is important. It's vitally important to not give this twisted administration another 4 years to do irreparable damage to our values and rights as Americans.

What is the difference between a man punching a woman in the face and a 5ARD DSD man punching a woman in the face? The IOC answer is that the 5ARD man has "female" on his passport because the midwife was assigned confused at birth.

Hell, in my state, all that's needed to change your sex marker on government IDs is a notarized form saying so. Swear to God.

The IOC are the last people we should ask anything from, they are super corrupt and have a long hairy & proud to carry history of corruption in cities all over the world. Super greedy, creepy people that no one calls out.

It is my understanding that an XY person with a DSD who appears phenotypically female DOES NOT have vagina, but rather some ambiguously developed genital tissue that may resemble a vagina.

Exulansic's avatar

Swyer syndrome will develop a vagina and everything but the ovaries if the testes are so underdeveloped that PMDS can happen. Others such as 46XY CAIS develop a micropenis or blind pouch that externally resembles a vulva but doesn't extend inward.

I read on Google that they can have a vagina & even a womb that can support pregnancy via implantation of a fertilized donor egg, as the ovaries have scar tissue preventing egg production. But then I saw Dr Emma Hilton categorize these structures as generally non-functional attempts at developing genital tissue along female lines, to a lesser or greater degree depending on hormone production/sensitivity. So naturally I assumed Google was just spreading misinformation. Do you know if it's true that they can have the functional anatomy to support & deliver an implanted pregnancy?

The testicles suppress the Mullerian structures, including the uterus, with a hormone called AMH. If they don't, the Mullerian structures will persist, as they do in Swyer syndrome. Swyer syndrome patients have scar tissue in the place of testicles, not ovaries. What prevents egg formation is the maleness. Ovarian scarring is female gonadal dysgenesis and would have a different cause than a Y chromosome. Swyer syndrome patients purportedly have been enabled to gestate donated embryos using synthetic hormone drugs resulting in live births. I consider this horrifically unethical but it's an inevitable result of defining these patients as female because they look female. Those children are the result of medical experimentation and any problems they have to live with now will be their lot in life, possibly unacknowledged.

I already understood that having female chromosomes is necessary to actually produce the large gametes, & likewise male to produce the small; Google did not give this actual reason for lack of egg production, just the vague statement about scar tissue. So I kept digging, but was unable to find any definitive answers as everything is written in such postmodern language that things are never made fully clear. Then I saw Dr Hilton speak specifically about Khelif's case of DSD & she was quite clear in her language, saying that to understand what is going on with any DSD person requires a whole battery of testing.

They're called "streak gonads" which are neither fully developed ovaries nor testes BUT may contain ovarian or testicular cells which still look different under a microscope. You need an ovary to produce an egg, not just random cells so the streak gonads cannot produce an egg. They are not technically scar tissue because it's not from injury, illness, or inflammation but it's fibrous tissue.

Without an ovary AND the proper hormones you can't produce an egg, both are necessary conditions and an ovary will never produce sperm and a testis will never produce an egg for some reason you could synthetically simulate the hormone production, they aren't the same cell type. If someone has the even rarer conditions of an ovotestis they still require a functional level of male or female hormones to produce a gamete, and that gamete will let you know sex and will not change. If you have an ovary but without necessary levels of hormones you won't produce an egg. If you have a testis but without necessary levels of male hormones you will not produce sperm. Streak gonads can produce neither because they lack the full structure but other structures may exist. No ovary, no eggs, but no ovaries does not imply no uterus.

I would be shocked if that were possible, but what do I know? I know that men are twisting themselves into pretzels pretending that they can get pregnant.

Thank you. I am sorry you got so much pushback for this a couple of years ago. Female is a specific category, and if you wish to compete as a woman, a sex test should be mandatory.

It has been really shocking to watch the rights of women and girls be eroded away, or outright given up, with no consideration of the subsequent consequences to 50% of the worlds population.

You are so right! Shocking that organizations like this will accept a passport that says female on it as "proof". You can look at this guy and see he is male. I saw a clip of his father so proud of his "daughter"! His family thinks he's a woman. Insane!

Yup, I share your priority of securing rights and opportunities for female people! All I care about is getting a protected class for XX people without male advantage. XY people have the advantage, so they're excluded. It's so simple.

I had a couple of conversations with TRAs in my personal life about the boxing, and they insisted AK is a woman (despite my pointing out that he is literally, actually, factually not female but male), but then I realised that they don't care what he is or what advantage he has. They say that TWAW despite them being genetically unambiguously male, so they have no problem calling any XY human at all a woman. Some of them go so far as to deny that the new science disproves that there IS any sex difference between males and females, so really god help us all I guess (and this from an atheist).

I've spent the last two years defending myself against an ethics investigation begun by Claire Graham that centered on the issue of whether I had a right to publicly discuss these topics. She even accused me of sexual harassment simply because her genitalia are purportedly developmentally disordered and so if I talk about sexual development disorders, I'm talking about her, and that's harassment. Ultimately the bulk of it was dismissed, though I was censured on a technical point unrelated to DSDs, and so I again feel free to discuss these topics without fear of losing my livelihood.
