“ identities” Are fictions. They are cultural constructions. They are not biologically based.

"Study" to them means someone wrote about, once, somewhere, in a place that's been publishing for more than a minute or put journal in the org name.

I’m sorry but is anyone else laughing out loud over the name Jimothy! ??? Am I bad person 😂😂😂

Expand full comment

I have no reason to think that's her actual name. She just looks like a Jimothy to me

Best laugh I had all day! 😂❤️

That thing she said about the ideology being “exhausting” indicates indoctrination to me. Cults wear their targets out with it after the initial welcoming with lovebombing. The contraptions she referred to sound like highly profitable corporate products. All so one can be their “authentic self?” 🤣 They are foolish marks to me, not Jimothys. ☮️❤️🐾

Expand full comment

Yes! The ideology is "exhausting" because it creates a constant internal war of belief and non-belief. You know you have to believe the doctrine, but it makes no sense, so you struggle constantly to keep believing. If your beliefs cause exhaustion, that's a warning sign. Plus the corporate powers love to have everyone confused and anxious, so they'll not only sell more products but the confused citizens won't be able to focus on the real problems and see who it is behind that curtain.

These people are excruciatingly boring. If I had to torture someone for information I'd pipe this into his cell 24/7 until he broke like a cheap ikea plate.

Also this estuary genderist probably thinks a bog can identify as a marsh because pH is a spectrum.

When I was young, I wanted to fly. 🙄 What a blowhard!

Expand full comment

Well, you can. In fiction. In books movies, etc. that’s what art is about. But the fact that I see so many of this ilk on Twitter identifying with fairies and anime drawings leads me to feel that I am dealing with a population of kids who want to flee the world they are in. Possibly understandable. But that seems to me seems the crux.

Imagine not being able to immediately purchase and wear a breast plate because of your excessive breast tissue. What an infringement of human rights. This actually happens! In the 21st century! Where do I send money to address this?

I strongly advise all Gender Critical folks to read a review of "18 Months" in the most recent Quillette. It's an excellent online journal out of Australia. Almost every issue contains at least one sharply-worded article about wokeness and gender ideology.

Quillette Weekly for Monday, October 17, 2022. Book review entitled "Once A Man, Never A Woman" by Jonathan Kay. It's an extremely well-written review of "18 Months: A Memoir of a Marriage Lost to Gender Identity" by Shannon Thrace. Some of the paragraphs are stunning in their distillation of a descent into AGP madness. Quillette offers free subscriptions and follows gender issues.

Let me know what you think of the review. I think it's brilliant. Exulansic, check it out.

It was depressing but good. I balked at the reviewer's explanation of his pronoun usage. He clearly doesn't have a job or future to risk if he can make a choice arbitrarily about using them correctly, I wish he'd be honest.

Um, I thought he was being honest--he consistently referred to the husband as "he", did he not? Maybe I missed something...

Your narrative alongside these things always makes me smile 😊💖

A word about the nose rings I see on so many of these people: Bulls. My uncle had a dairy farm in Utah and it was always a treat to visit. Farms are fun for city kids. There is so much to explore and so many places to play. The Bull had a nose ring. Not the cows, though. Just the bull.

As I watch these people with their nose rings, I see the big old bull from my childhood.

Both being led by the nose.

Somehow it seems to fit that the culty-churchy leading around also comes at a price of damaged flesh.

I couldn't get through watching any of these without the narrative (as it is, I often have to pause and come back).

Also...there is really so very much bull in this video...

first of all, “excessive”?? only if you measure it against a male default. we could just as easily accuse men of being “indecently flat”.

second, even if i didn’t know english, jimothy would still come across as a liar, who was fighting her internal awareness of how many lies she was telling: the stuttering and the wild eyes were driving my blood pressure up, as if her cognitive dissonance-related hypertension were contagious.

Expand full comment

You’re right- the eyes are wild!

Expand full comment

It must be really hard work persuading yourself to believe lies and keep your story straight !!Given that the majority of women get a pregnancy scan and therefore know the sex of their baby long before the birth ,it must take a huge amount of effort and mental gymnastics to convince themselves that babies are " assigned " a sex at birth !! Crazy. Btw ,was struggling to hear that on my phone.😭 Need subtitles ,please 🙏

Expand full comment

Sorry for lack of subtitles. When I get depressed my nerve pain is worse and I need to limit my typing. There will be subtitles when it comes out on youtube and I'll download and repost them here. I don't mean to be ableist but it's just hard to do it by hand.

Lol they always want "empirical" but think male and female aren't "empirical. This is just so stupid. Keep the gender studies majors out of science, they don't even know what the words mean. We need a title other than "Dr" for the social sciences and humanities so we know what authority they're appealing to and whether or not that authority is idiotic.

I don’t know- some of the medical doctors are pretty idiotic these days?!!
