I thought one of the current administration's campaign points was keeping men out of women's sports?

What is wrong with the cheer leading coaches? The sports teams? The young women themselves? They should all go on strike in protest. The fans should boo them off the field.

I’m with Billboard Chris on this, because while it’s completely fine for men to dance and be feminine, society don’t have to include them on cheerleading teams. Just like we don’t have to allow same sex dancing couples in classic dances. Cheerleading have different function than validation and when gays want to dance, there are plenty of dance forms with professional path open to them

My husband, born and raised in MN, lifelong Vikings fan, is not……… amused.

It’s incredibly disturbing watching effeminate men cosplay as women. Putting him front and center is a phycological manipulation 💯Your breakdown is spot on again 👌🏼

I do think there is a place for males in cheerleading, the stunt performers, but not one doing this female role.

From Google:

Stunt Performers/Bases: In some NFL teams, male cheerleaders are primarily involved in the more physically demanding aspects of cheerleading, such as lifting and supporting flyers in stunts. They may not be as involved in the dance routines but are crucial for the athletic and acrobatic elements of the performance

They could have just made him one of those, they did this just to piss people off.

Thank you for making this point! When this controversy emerged, I was confused, because my impression was that men already participated in cheerleaders in this particularly demanding capacity.

Turns out these new blokes simply lack the athleticism to compete with other men and must therefore sabotage women in their own event.

Just like every other “transwoman” in sports.

Rudy on Twitter is great but he and I part ways on this one because he thinks that cheerleading is gender neutral and began as a men's sport anyway (when women weren't allowed to go to college) and then became co-ed, whereas my objection is to the fact women are being judged on whether they can dance as well for as long a time as a man. He's not getting on the team because he deserves it more than the women who didn't make the cut. He has a male athletic advantage
