I don’t talk about it much but I have had to deconvert from two cults in my life. One was trans ideology and the other was Scientology. I did not choose to join Scientology, despite what I was once told. I was raised by two true-believing freezoners (schismatic ex-org members). Being raised that way did make me vulnerable to gender ideology, which shares conceptual overlap with body thetans and the “bridge to total freedom,” but takes a very different perspective on psychiatry. This was for Tiktok so it is not paywalled.
