Glitterature Review: "Molecular basis of gender dysphoria: androgen and estrogen receptor interaction."
Glitterature Review is a series that looks at scientific articles supporting trans ideology that are lacking just a tad in the logic and evidence department.
Someone on the XBox sent me this link to prove to me that there is a biological basis for identifying as transgender. The user had alleged that all trans identifying women have genetically impaired neurological functioning and need beard-doses of testosterone NOW in order to correct their neurological disorder. I challenged the user on whether there is any basis for saying that all trans identifying women have impaired neurological functioning. If that is the case, I want to know what functioning is considered impaired and what is the nature of this impairment. In response, they linked me to this article
To summarize this article, what they are saying is that the fact that people have different forms of the androgen receptor - CAIS patients, an extremely small fraction of the male alone have been documented to have over nine HUNDRED variations of a bricked androgen receptor, including over 300 “de novo” mutations that only affect one person and neither parent - as well as different variations of the estrogen receptor somehow is why some people identify with a social fad that is exploding in popularity due to the internet. So because this person is a member of Our Lady of the Perpetual Hormone Replacement Therapy with a mixture of Church of the Maculate Conception, McQuacken believes that there is some physical reason, stemming from a flawed conception or developmental path, that they absolutely need to be on cross sex hormones. Trans identification, therefore, would be a neurological disability resulting from some handwaving about how different people are different, then a miracle happens, and we’ve explained how peple ended up in the self-selected groups that many later leave.
